Jackie K. Cooper was born in South Carolina and now lives in Georgia. He is the married father of two sons and the proud grandparent of a boy and three girls.

He is familiar to people living in the Middle Georgia area as the “Entertainment Man” since his entertainment reviews run in newspapers and are shown on television there. His short stories have been used as commentary on Georgia Public Radio. He also keeps active appearing as a guest speaker for various events.

Cooper has lived an exceptionally interesting life and portions of it were contained in his first book JOURNEY OF A GENTLE SOUTHERN MAN. The journey continued in CHANCES AND CHOICES. His third book HALFWAY HOME was published by Mercer University Press in October 2004. His fourth book THE BOOKBINDER was published in the fall of 2006. THE SUNRISE REMEMBERS was released in 2008, BACK TO THE GARDEN was released in 2011, and MEMORY’S MIST was released in 2013. His latest collection of stories is titled THE WISDOM OF WINTER which was also published by Mercer University Press in 2023.

In 2019, Cooper went viral on YouTube after a Redditor found his movie reviews. This caught the attention of YouTuber PewDiePie, and grew Jackie’s 100 YouTube subscribers to over 100,000 in a day.

Jackie now regularly posts movie and TV Series reviews to YouTube for his 100,000 subscribers. In addition to these reviews, he posts videos discussing the latest entertainment news, and videos opening exclusive mail from book publishers and movies. On Instagram, Jackie posts book reviews and movie recommendations for his followers.
